bring your own booze means bring YOUR own booze, right? otherwise they would call it B.Y.A.O.B, bring yourself and others booze. which they don’t.

unhelpful patterns of behavior are annoying because it’s very difficult to catch myself in the act. in retrospect though it all makes total sense.

treat yourself

i’ve heard lots of advice from friends, and given plenty of it myself, when it comes to dating and pacing relationships:  “take it one day at a time”, “don’t have unrealistic expectations”, “take it slow”, “you can’t rush getting to know someone”, “if you aren’t sure, sleep on it”.this is all great advice, but i think by far, the best advice is simply to “love yourself and the love of others will follow”.
